Sachcha Dham Ashram is one of the main ashrams of the Sachcha lineage and was founded by Sri Sachcha Baba Maharajji, Sri Prem Baba’s master.
This is a traditional vedic ashram where rituals, pujas (offerings), and kirtans (chanting of mantras) take place.
Such activities are open to all visitors and no financial contribution is required for participation. They happen daily at Sachcha Baba’s Mandir.
Ashram residents belong to different castes, and everyone has a role in keeping the ashram working.
There is also a gaushala where cows are fed, taken care of and are the source of food (milk) for residents as well as for people who live nearby.
Next to the mandir, there is a marble platform that faces the Ganges River (which in the Indian culture is lovingly called Ganga Ma – Mother Ganga), where Sachcha Baba used to meditate during his visits to Sachcha Dham.
One should take their shoes off to meditate there.
Residential Areas are private with access allowed only to residents.
Today, the house where Sachcha Baba Maharajji used to live has been transformed into the Samadhi, where devotees and disciples sit to meditate.
The hours that the Samadhi is open are from 6:00am to 2:00pm and from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Next to the Samadhi is the Yagyashala, where fire ceremonies (offerings to the fire) take place. There is no schedule for these ceremonies.
Walking a bit further you will find the building where Sri Prem Baba offers satsangs and other activities daily.
Next to Sachcha Baba’s temple is the hall where ShantiMayi (Maharajji’s disciple) offers her satsangs.
It’s not possible to stay in the ashram. Lodging is available at surrounding guest houses and hotels.
Free meals offered in the ashram daily are only for its residents and street dwellers. who are fed following instructions left by Sri Sachcha Baba Maharajji.
We kindly ask you to have your meals outside the ashram since there is no infrastructure to feed everyone.
